Hi Erin,

Thanks for visiting! Any printer can make your paper icons in any shape or size or color you want. Of course, what you do changes the price a lot. Generally, you’ll spend between 8 and 15 cents per icon. If you look at recent posts on my site you’ll see the Boston Bruins mobile we just had created. There are other examples on my blog, just search for “mobiles” or “pin-ups” or “paper icons” because I call them all three!!

Hi! I was wondering how to go about getting paper icons to sell. If printed yourself, how can you get them shaped – ie like a ribbon? can they be ordered? and where? Thanks so much. Erin

Designing paper icons: ease of use & printing, eye catching, etc.

Getting paper Icons printed/cut

Approaching retailers, convincing them to participate.
Any follow up ideas.

Hi Barbara,

Thanks for writing. You don’t buy paper icons, you make them. Or, better said, your printer makes them. Our paper icons are created, dye-cut and printed at the printers. Printing costs vary, but we ususally pay around 10 cents for each mobile. I’ll send you an example via email.

Hi I read your blog about paper icons and I am on a board of directors for a non-profit autism foundation… WHERE the heck can you get those paper icons???? I searched all over the web and cant find them. Are there companies that make these???ANy help would be appreciated…thanks
