Joe Garecht over at the Fundraising Authority was nice enough to interview me on his podcast, which you can listen to here.

Joe said:

On this episode of The Fundraising Authority Podcast, we’re joined by the expert on fundraising with businesses and cause marketing, Joe Waters.

If you think that fundraising with businesses is limited to seeking event sponsorships or perhaps a corporate grant, think again.  In this info-packed episode, Joe Waters teaches us all about how to partner with businesses to raise far more money than a simple yearly donation, and how to grow relationships with companies that stand the test of time.

While you won't be able to hear my Boston accent in my recent online interview with MediaShower, you can learn a few things about me and my new book.

I love this podcast on CBC Radio. Of course, the subject is cause marketing. But it begins with something totally unrelated that eventually ties in to another example of strange bedfellows: for-profit and not-for-profit partnerships.

I also like the podcast's emphasis on an unsung hero: Bruce Burtch, the Father of Cause Marketing.
