Chipping In
If I told you that by eating potato chips you could make a wish come true for a very sick child, would you give up your sprouts, carrot juice, tofu salads and strict calorie-counting for just one day to be a selfless chip eating machine?
If yes, skip the whole-wheat pita chips next time you're at the supermarket and buy LAY'S Brand Potato Chips instead.
From now until September 1st, for every specially marked bag of LAY'S Brand Potato Chips you purchase and redeem online, LAY'S will donate 25 cents to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Simply enter the 10-digit UPC code on the back of the bag of LAY'S and you'll be helping the Make-A-Wish Foundation make wishes come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions.
The bags are hard to miss. 150 million have wish art designed by four different Make-A-Wish kids. Look for the Destination Joy logo on every bag. On the back is a picture of the artwork and a bio of the artist.
It's hard to do the right thing, even when it's for a good cause. I too prefer to eat plain organic mini rice cakes when I watch television. But for just one evening, I'll eat potato chips instead. What can I say, anything for the children.
