Tea Time

216 Toast your love for social justice and affordable caffeine with the "Champagne" of teas, Darjeeling.

Darjeeling tea is grown on the southern slopes of the Himalayan Mountains under intensive sunshine. It has a distinct and unique flavor that can not be replicated anywhere else in the world.

Imported locally by Boston Tea Campaign of Holden, owners Fritz Fleischmann and William O'Brien strive for simplicity, purity and ecology.

Simplicity. BTC sells only one tea: Darjeeling. They buy it in bulk and sell it in large packages direct to consumers.

Purity. BTC's Darjeeling is free of pesticides and artificial fertilizers. The lab results for each batch of tea are posted on every package.

Ecology. Since 1992, the parent company of BTC, Teekampagne, has funded "Save the Environment & Regenerate Vital Employment" (SERVE). To reverse soil erosion on the steep slopes of Darjeeling, SERVE has reforested 210 acres. Three hundred will soon be reforested in Senchal, the area which provides the town of Darjeeling with water.

How do you like your tea? With a conscience, thank you.
