Did you miss me? I certainly missed you!

Thanks to everyone who replied to my last newsletter congratulating my daughter, Cate, on her graduation from George Washington University. And, wow, there are a lot of fellow GW graduates out there!

What a trip!

  • The real surprise in DC was the weather. The forecast did not look good heading into the weekend, but the weather turned out to be nice for both ceremonies.

  • Any fans of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills out there? I met Mauricio and just missed meeting Kyle Richards. Their daughter graduated in the same class. We're BFFs now. Expect to see me on the show soon! ๐Ÿ˜‚

The downside of the trip was that both me and my wife came home with COVID.

After avoiding Covid for 26 months it finally got me...and it was not fun. Chills, fever, cough, heart palpitations. I regret not getting my second booster before leaving for DC. Maybe it would have helped!

Or maybe not.

There was an indoor graduation ceremony with thousands and an outdoor ceremony with tens of thousands. There were Uber rides around town. There were dinners with family and friends...and trips to Starbucks, of course.

We were masked most of the time, but looking back I guess I would have been more surprised if I DIDN'T come with Covid. Everything seemed so normal, but, of course, it's not. We're done with the pandemic, but it isn't done with us. I got my reminder last week.

Fortunately, I'm feeling better now and am glad to have Covid behind me. I'll get my second booster next month!

However you spent the past couple of weeks, I hope they were full of highs and no lows (and certainly no Covid, I hope).

Enjoy this week's newsletter! It's good to be back.
