I love sharing articles with you every week, but I also know reading them takes a lot of time! I recently came across something new from Google that should make things easier, thanks to AI!
Some of you may have this new feature on your phones right now! If not, you should have it soon. It will also be coming to desktops.
The new feature is Google’s AI-powered Search Generative Experience, or SGE for short.
If you have access to the Google app on mobile, Google will pull up a set of AI-generated “key points” from an article after you tap an icon at the bottom of the screen.
Sadly, the new feature doesn't work with paywalled articles. But no worries. Just hit reply to this email, and I'll continue to send you those articles so you can read them.
Here's how to use SGE RIGHT NOW to summarize articles in today's newsletter. This process will get more straightforward in the coming weeks!
Open the Google app on your phone and type in Selfishgiving.com.
On the top left of my site, click on the hamburger menu icon and then click on BLOG.
Choose the newsletter you want to read and click the READ MORE link.
Scroll down to the article you want to summarize and click the link.
At the bottom of the page, click on the 'i" with the circle around it.
You should see "Key points from the page."
