Since Christmas I've spoken to over a dozen nonprofits about a new offering I've been working on: The 2021 Corporate Partnership Checklist.
This 9-point checklist reviews the critical things you need to act on in 2021 to be successful with corporate partnerships. After some feedback from some outstanding nonprofits, I'm ready to start sharing the checklist with all of you via a 20-30 minute conversation on Zoom.

NOTE: The checklist is for people who work in nonprofits. However, you don't have to specifically work in corporate partnerships. If you're a development director or ED that just wants to grow your partnership program that's fine too.😄
✍️ Partnership Notes
1. This is a cool idea. On January 15, Thomas' Bagels will hand over $100,000 and the reins to their social media channels and all media advertising on Hulu to the nonprofit Operation Warm for a National Bagel Day takeover. Fans and viewers will learn more about OW's work to give needy kids warm coats.
2. This action-triggered donation program is a 3-pointer from the Utah Jazz. For every victory this season, the Jazz will pay for a college scholarship for a kid who needs it.
3. An interesting case study on how luxury clothing brand Anatomie used cause marketing platform ShoppingGives to link charity to business success. The key lesson is that even during a difficult year, customers want to give. Here's the money quote: "Two-thirds of our customers opt-in and pick a charity at checkout — and for those that do, the average order value is about 25 percent higher than the rest of them.”

3. Which tactics do marketers consider effective at different stages of the funnel? In my opinion, most partnership teams need to be working on mid-funnel engagement. Case studies and email marketing are key.
